Communications Manager

The communications manager is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, assessing and adjusting communications work in support of WKKF programs to strengthen the foundation’s overall efforts in support of its mission.

Education / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (communications, marketing, journalism, English) required. Master’s degree is preferred.
• Five to seven years of internal/external communications experience gained through working in one or more of the following organizations, e.g., agency, government, Tribal, corporation and/or large non-profit institution.
• Experience leading communications efforts focused on setting and achieving defined goals and objectives across a broad range of strategic communications initiatives and programs in a complex organization.
• Experience working effectively with persons from diverse cultural, social and ethnic backgrounds.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The salary range for this role is $100,000 – $137,500 with a generous benefits package. The exact salary within this range will be dependent upon the depth of relevant experience, education, certifications, credentials, special skills, accomplishments, and other factors relevant to the position.
