Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps honors Medical-Legal Partnership for Children

The Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps has selected the Medical-Legal Partnership for Children at the Boston Medical Center (MLPC) to receive the 2008 Robert F. Kennedy Embracing the Legacy Award. Founded in 1993 by Chief of Pediatrics Dr. Barry Zuckerman, the MLPC promotes health and well-being drawing on the strengths of two powerful professions; the medical and legal professions to ensure families’ basic needs for food, housing, safety and stability are met. This national award honors individuals and organizations whose zeal is for making the world a better place for children and families.  In addition to receiving this award MLPC is featured in the Grantmakers in Health monthly bulletin.  The article Views From the Field written by Albert K. Yee, M.D., M.P.H, program director, W.K. Kellogg Foundation cites the many attributes of MLPC.
