America Healing anchor partners gathered in Washington for an event commemorating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. The anchor partners consisted of 11 organizations with a long history of leading civil rights movements. Prominent leaders from each of these 11 organizations joined Dr. Gail Christopher, vice president of program strategy at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF), for a dialogue on the legacy of racism in America.
Together, they discussed the long struggle for equal opportunities for all Americans, assess the effects of conscious and unconscious bias and advocate for the implementation of concrete steps toward a stronger future for America’s children. The panel took questions from event attendees, exploring perspectives on the past, present and future of the many interwoven civil rights movements supported by the America Healing initiative.
