Iowa Farmers Finding Success with Adzuki Bean
Greene County, IA farmers are finding success with a new kind of bean, the adzuki. In 2001, the Greene Bean Project starting raising the sweet, rust-colored legumes. Now the group is struggling to keep up with demand for the beans, which are packed with protein and natural sugars, and are commonly used in confectionary treats or dips in Asia. Read more at
