Community Health Scholar Alum Featured in O’ Magazine

Community Health Scholar alum, Andriette Ward, (University of North Carolina 2000-2001) is featured in the February 06 issue of The OPRAH Magazine. Dr. Ward, a pediatric obesity specialist at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, works at two Los Angeles-area clinics in addition to her academic research focusing on the childhood obesity epidemic. The Community Health Scholars Program is a post-doctoral fellowship program that enables scholars to develop and enhance skills in working with communities and engaging in community-based participatory.
