We Invest in Our People

Total Rewards, Total Well-Being

Investing in our people means caring for the health, well-being and success of our employees and their families – a precedent set by our founder, Will Keith Kellogg, more than 90 years ago. Today, our Total Rewards package provides top-tier compensation and benefits as we aim to be the best foundation to work for.

Compensation and Benefits

+

Competitive and Equitable Compensation

We designed a market-competitive and equitable compensation package for all roles. We also celebrate special accomplishments and milestones through a variety of recognition programs, service awards and more.
+

Locations and Flexible Work Arrangements

All employees are assigned to an office in Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico, New Orleans or Mexico City. Many roles are hybrid, allowing for a degree of flexible location or scheduling arrangements. Staff with a community focus work from the same state as the community they serve. All staff need to be accessible and travel to their office periodically for team development and relationship-building.
+

Opportunities for Professional Development and Education

We support our staff’s pursuit of education through professional certifications, conferences, workshops, networking opportunities and work-related degree programs.
+

Top-tier Benefits

We are committed to supporting the well-being of staff, their spouses, domestic partners and children through comprehensive and affordable health care plans. Our life insurance, disability and long-term care programs provide financial security when your work life may be disrupted. We also provide generous funding into flexible spending and health savings accounts (FSAs and HSAs) as well as 401k retirement accounts.
+

Employee Wellness Benefits

Being well isn’t just about not being sick. Our total wellness program offers access to fitness classes and personal training on-site and virtually, reimbursement for your kids’ sports activities, biometric screenings, nutritional and weight management consultation, meditation and resources for financial wellness.

We are recognized as a Gold Level Breast-feeding Friendly Workplace by the Michigan Breastfeeding Network, a Designing Healthy Environments at Work employer, and a proud recipient of the Michigan Governor’s Fitness Award for a Healthy Workplace.

Our Workspaces

Our workspaces allow for creativity, collaboration and connectivity in our new hybrid environment. From generous-sized personal workstations, to open work tables, team rooms, privacy enclaves and comfortable lounge areas, staff can find the right balance of focus and collaboration.

All WKKF offices offer the same mix of collaborative and private workspaces, with locations in:

  • New Orleans, Louisiana
  • Battle Creek, Michigan
  • Detroit, Michigan
  • Grand Rapids, Michigan
  • Jackson, Mississippi
  • Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Mexico City, Mexico

Battle Creek

When staff visit our headquarters in Battle Creek, Michigan, they find amazing lunch service, an onsite fitness center, outdoor walking trail, an ATM and a secure parking garage – all centered in our walkable downtown area close to local restaurants and shops.

Read the WKKF -produced reports showing the workforce composition of United States based workforce by race/ethnicity, gender and job category.

Whether you are exploring this related to your service – on a board of directors, as a member of senior leadership, as a human resources professional – or as an individual seeking to help your organization advance toward racial equity, this guide is for you.
