Mississippi Delta Featured on National Public Radio

National Public Radio recently featured an episode of All Things Considered titled, “Retracing ‘Freedom Summer’ in Mississippi”. This episode was centered around the journey of a busload of teachers is riding Mississippi’s highways, retracing the steps of the Freedom workers in the hope of bringing that history to life for a new generation of students. One of the stops the participants made was in Clarksdale, Miss., home of the People’s Institute’s Freedom Summer event.
