Mississippi Tornadoes: How to Help

Tornadoes tore through southwest and central Mississippi on March 16, leaving devastation in their wake. But as in so many moments of crisis, communities across the state—including WKKF grantees—have quickly mobilized to care for one another.

In Walthall and Smith Counties, where the damage has been especially severe, local organizations like the Community Foundation for Mississippi (CFM) are stepping up to provide relief, ensuring that families receive immediate aid and essential resources.

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation stands with our partners in Mississippi, mourning the lives lost and the homes and livelihoods upended by this disaster. As relief efforts continue, we remain committed to working alongside our communities.

How to Support Relief Efforts

The Helping Friends and Neighbors Fund at the Community Foundation for Mississippi is providing immediate relief and long-term recovery support for families in Walthall and Smith Counties and other affected areas. With deep connections to local communities, the foundation ensures that donations go directly to where they’re needed most.
