We aim to make historic and lasting change for the children of New Mexico in partnership with many community organizations, Tribal entities and private and public institutions.
Racial equity and healing, community engagement and leadership are vital to New Mexico’s journey of addressing and moving beyond its deep-rooted history of colonialism, immigrant tensions and racial inequities. Cherishing children by honoring their identities is at the heart of all we do.
Over the past few decades, New Mexico has created a child-centered movement powered by parents, teachers, tribal and community leaders, child care advocates, nonprofits and policy experts.
We want all New Mexicans to have the power to shape and define the issues that affect their health. Our grantmaking in New Mexico emphasizes reducing health disparities and promoting health equity through programs and services, and innovative systems change to improve the health and well-being of children.
Children have greater opportunities for success when their families are economically secure. Sustainable prosperity for all means dismantling barriers to building wealth and promoting economic and workforce development opportunities. The result: Parents have good jobs, good wages, can build businesses and advance their careers.
